Connect Online

In 2008, we launched 'Connect' - a quarterly national newsletter where work with Young Muslims is seen, celebrated, shared and explored. As well as features on emerging practice, each issue of Connect had exclusive interviews with Youth & Community Workers, case studies, articles and inspiration to help practitioners develop their work practice.

After two successful years of print publication, in the Summer of 2010, we launched Connect Online.

As well as content from the newsletter, Connect Online, through it's ‘Online Community’, hopes to provide many valuable resources and a place to explore and share work with Muslim youth and contribute to this emerging practice.

We hope that you are able to take advantage of this FREE resource and welcome your contributions. To have full access to the articles and Regional networks, please register yourself with a username, valid e-mail address and Password.

We have preserved the previously printed versions of the Connect Newsletter below, for your reading.

Issue 3 - January 2009

Welcome to Issue 3 of Connect. Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for supporting ‘Connect’ as an initiative and I invite others to join us in our work. Our distribution list is increasing almost on a daily basis and we would like to extend an invitation to anyone that wants to keep abreast of developments and emerging practice in this field to contact us.

Issue 2 - October 2008

Welcome to Issue 2 of Connect. It has been a busy three months since our first issue; we have been overwhelmed by your support and general feedback. I would personally like to thank all of you who have submitted your projects and apologise if we have not been able to feature them as yet. It is apparent that many of you are involved in innovative and challenging pieces of work.

Issue 1 - July 2008

It gives me great pleasure to be able to write a few words to introduce ‘Connect’. This national initiative aims to ‘tell our own story’; a platform where grass roots Muslim Youth Work is seen, celebrated, shared and even explored, by US.
