The Jewish Chronicle has apologised to the Managing Director, Tafazal Mohammad, and also agreed to pay libel damages together with legal costs.

The Jewish Chronicle ran an article "Pears funded charity which hosted jihadist" on the 13th May 2011.
The Jewish Chronicle has confirmed to Simons Muirhead & Burton Solicitors that these allegations were false and have published in this week’s newspaper, both in print and online, the following apology:
"On 13 May 2011 we published articles which suggested that Tafazal Mohammed was a Jihadist who may have supported violent extremism. We accept that this is not the case and that Mr Mohammed unequivocally condemns acts of violence, including the 7/7 bombings. We are happy to put this right and apologise to him for any distress caused."
